SFQ Global Signs EPC Contract for a New-Energy Power Plant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
SFQ Global Limited (Stock Code: 01953.HK, hereinafter referred to as “SFQ Global” or the “Company”) announced that its subsidiary, SFQ HUANYU Limited, has formally signed an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for a solar PV and energy storage system project located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This marks substantial progress in the Company’s strategy for new-energy power plant contracting business and overseas market expansion.
The total value of the EPC contract signed is approximately US$41.4 million. The project will be implemented in two phases, with Phase One worth approximately US$22.3 million and Phase Two worth approximately US$19.1 million. The scope of services covers the full workflow including overall project design, procurement of equipment and materials, multimodal transportation to the project site, construction, equipment installation, system commissioning, grid connection, performance testing and supporting maintenance services.
According to SFQ Global, the Company is actively pursuing business expansion and strategic upgrading. Leveraging its proven experience and technical strengths accumulated in industrial and infrastructure construction, the Company is moving beyond its previous single-market focus on Malaysia with two key strategic priorities: first, building on its existing industrial and infrastructure construction businesses, to vigorously develop EPC contracting for new-energy power plants and seize high-growth opportunities in the global new-energy power plant construction market; second, drawing on the regional resources of the Company and its controlling shareholder in Southeast Asia and Africa, to expand its business footprint from Malaysia to other Southeast Asian countries and Africa. This will effectively mitigate risks arising from over-reliance on a single market and unlock greater market-growth potential.
